Brave Browser Starts To Pay Its Customers For Using It

Brave Software released a press release on Wednesday claiming that their Brave browser will have an Ads addon that will pay its customers 70% of the ad revenue. The new functionality will come as a software update rolling out from Monday, although some users have already received the update.

“Brave Ads is a new step towards advertising. Ads will be shown only to those who are interested in them and want to see them. Brave Ads eliminates fraud, excessive costs, and privacy issues, often regarding middleman in modern advertising.”, the release states.

Brave’s software update comes a month after Brave Software first announced the idea of rewarding their users with BAT tokens for viewing advertisement while browsing on the Internet.

Brave’s token – BAT – is currently trading at $0,42, seeing a steady increase in price and trading volumes over the past week. Shortly after the announcement brave made on Twitter daily trading volumes soared from $80 million to $139 million to settle a little over $100 million. BAT’s market capitalization is currently $528 million.
