Circle Internet Financial is now selling “Collections” of Cryptocurrencies

by Pavel Petrov

After the success of the “Buy the Market” feature in May, Circle Internet Financial is now offering three new types of index funds, supporting their mission. The Senior Vice President of Circle - Divya Agarwalla, stated that many ventures try to solve similar global issues, but use different techniques to achieve that.

Those three new market-cap-weighted positions, described by Agarwalla, are a way to categorize cryptocurrencies into broader segments – Platforms, Payments, and Privacy. Although some cryptocurrency holders disagree on the categorization due to the overlapping of some currencies, Circle has hand-picked the coins and tokens that go into the lists.

“Ventures like Bitcoin, Stellar, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash are striving to create flawless payment methods, based on the blockchain. The goal is to make payments quick, easy, and without country limitations, just like sending an email. If clients want to invest in the whole payment segment, they can simply purchase the “Payments” collection. Each entry in the collection will be market-cap weighted”, Agarwalla added.

The decision to announce the new collections for Circle comes after the attention these kinds of trading and investing tools have drawn over the past few months. Coinbase pioneered the crypto index scene, followed closely by Bitwise’s coin index – the BIT10.

The ability to buy one of the three crypto collections is now available to Android and iOS users.
