Edge Mobile Wallet Welcomes Monero And Ripple

by Pavel Petrov

With its latest update, the Edge Mobile Wallet now provides user-controlled storage, as well as sending and receiving of the two currencies alongside Ethereum, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Dash on various trades and wallets.

Edge's full 1.2.0 update allows holding, sending, and receiving Quantum (QTUM), Ripple (XRP), and Monero (XMR). Users can offer and buy Bitcoin with a debit card, thanks to the integration of Simplex into the wallet. Private keys can be cleared for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, and Dash.

Furthermore, users can export their exchange history in CSV and Quickbooks (QBO) and restore their erased wallets.

According to Paul Puey, Edge’s CEO, the update follows the application’s rebranding from AirBitz to Edge last October and responds to the client network’s interest to operate a single wallet method with a full scope of benefits.

"While other services exist to build up value and put resources into these financial models, there were no alternatives that let clients hold, send, get, and exchange these cryptocurrencies from a safe wallet they control, with no overseer. The bonus is they can do the same thing with twelve other cryptocurrencies. We expect by the end of Q3, the Edge's wallet app will support the top 25 crypto assets.", Puey added.

Fuey marked that with the in-app support for Shapeshift, clients can trade these digital currencies for different resources, for example, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Augur (REP), and many other ERC20 tokens. The Edge wallet is available on iOS and Android devices.
