Organized by the Azerbaijan Banks Association and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and supported by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the event once again reaffirmed its role as a leading platform for financial innovation and collaboration.

Held under the theme “New Trends in the Banking and Finance Ecosystem: Digital Integration, Fintech Partnerships, and Cybersecurity,” the Summit brought together regional and international leaders to explore key developments shaping the financial sector.

Launched on June 24, 2025, and spanning two days, the event focused on the implementation of financial technologies, digital payment ecosystems, the use of artificial intelligence in banking, open banking, regtech solutions, and the evolving models of bank-fintech cooperation. Discussions were held across seven thematic panels, with particular attention to cybersecurity and data protection in digital environments.

Nearly 300 international and regional companies from the USA, European Union, CIS, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific participated. More than 1,500 delegates attended the Summit, including representatives of government institutions, commercial banks, fintech companies, payment technology providers, investors, diplomatic missions, and academia.

Commenting on the event, Zakir Nuriyev, President of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, said:
FINTEX Summit 2025 clearly demonstrated the increasing importance of cooperation, innovation, and digital transformation in the financial sector. We are proud that Baku has become a regional hub where banking, fintech, and regulatory leaders come together to shape the future of finance. On behalf of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, I sincerely thank all our partners, speakers, and participants for their valuable contributions.”

This two-day event is one of the region’s most prominent international finance and banking platforms held annually in Baku — alongside the International Banking Forum.

The next major event on the agenda is the International Banking Forum (IBF), scheduled for 19-20 November, 2025 in Baku. The Forum will bring together representatives of central banks, financial regulators, commercial banks, fintech companies, and global experts. Key topics will include global banking trends, innovative technologies, cross-border settlements, financial risk management, and the evolution of regulatory frameworks. The Forum will once again serve as a unique platform for professional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and shaping the regional financial agenda.
