A Point Of Sale system for bricks-and-mortar stores, Poppy is designed for use in the Tron Ecosystem. It is aiming to deliver an agile, dynamic and integrated alternative to traditional payment methods by using the Clover POS system.
Retailers and merchants who choose to invest in the crypto space will need to update their current Clover hardware and properly install the new Poppy App. Clover offers various merchant solutions like a full POS (Point-of-Sale) station, a tap-on-the-go payment system, a mini Clover station, and handheld flex devices.
As a system built on TRON’s Blockchain, the Poppy network promises excellent speed and robustness. Moreover, by using TRX tokens to facilitate payments, the transaction fees are expected to decreases significantly, compared to traditional methods such as credit cards.
Merchants will have the ability to receive cryptocurrency payments in the form of TRON tokens (TRX) through TronCards and TRON wallets. The company is also planning to promote the use of Poppy in social media, as the system will also integrate Seedit, a reputable social media payment system.
The cryptocurrency community is also offered to obtain the addition of TRONCard, a credit-card style solution that allows payments for purchases and other Point-of-Sale transactions using TRX. The card will also feature a range of additional security measures including a 3D barcode.
Poppy is planning to use the current momentum surrounding Seedit to eliminate the barrier between social media and the POS terminal. Vendors will be able to use Seedit for offering discounts, gift cards, complimentary items, and other rewards on the blockchain that are redeemable at the Point of Sale.
