WebX, Japan’s flagship Web3 conference, has successfully concluded its fourth edition following two days of high-level discussions, product showcases and networking opportunities. The event drew an attendance of 13,641 participants from over 90 countries and featured over 70 side events.

Against the backdrop of Japan’s rapidly evolving digital asset regulatory framework, WebX 2026 became a focal point for discussions on yen stablecoins, tokenization adoption by megabanks, and the rising institutional confidence driving the industry’s growth.

These conversations were led by a distinguished line-up of policymakers, regulators, institutional leaders, founders and technology innovators, including Sanae Takaichi, the Prime Minister of Japan; Katayama Satsuki, Japan’s Minister of Finance; Ryosei Akazawa, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry; Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine; Ian De Bode, CEO of Ondo Finance; John D'Agostino, Head of Strategy at Coinbase; Nischint Sanghavi, Head of Digital Currencies, Asia Pacific at Visa, among many others.

Adding on to the conference experience, attendees were invited to unwind and relax in between sessions with complimentary massages and a bowl of matcha through a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Closing the 2-day event with WebX 2026’s official after-party at Zouk Tokyo, bringing attendees together for a night of music, rapport-building and celebration.

WebX 2026 was proudly supported by title sponsors Bitbank, Inc., bitFlyer, Inc., BitLending, eole Inc., SBI Holdings Inc., Simplex, UPCX, Advasa Holdings, Inc.

Building on the momentum of this year’s edition, WebX will return on 25 to 26 August 2027 at Tokyo Big Sight, a venue nearly 1.8 times bigger than this year’s conference. As institutional participation accelerates and Japan continues to strengthen its position as one of Asia’s leading digital asset markets, WebX 2027 will offer an expanded international stage for global leaders to shape the next future of Web3 innovation.
