AdEx (ADX) is a decentralized platform built on the Ethereum network for online publishers and advertisers to meet and negotiate on advertising contracts. The name of the platform stands for "advertising exchange."

The ADX network includes a portal where users can specify what kind of ads they would like to see and to manage their privacy and data via the AdEx User Profile page.

AdEx is focused on the entertainment industry, the video streaming services, and wants to replace the typical digital advertising patterns by creating a way for advertisers to cooperate with ad publishers directly. With this action, they are making the complications and fees for the intermediary be unnecessary. The advertising exchange industry is crowded, and many other blockchain projects have shared goals with AdEx, such as Basic Attention Token and Bitclave, but AdEx is the only project that offers this level of transparency and unlimited access plus no fees for the service.

The AdEx token is used within the platform for buying or selling advertising space and time. To facilitate onboarding, AdEx will implement a direct fiat gateway, and when users cash out their ADX for fiat, the tokens will return to ADX in one.
