The Audio Coin or ADC was launched in 2015. It is designed to help the music industry by
tackling some longstanding issues with share revenue and transparency. It is set to provide
new ways of listening to music, while not stripping off artists of their earned profit. The coin
is entirely decentralized and was conceived as a hybrid Proof of work/ Proof of stake
currency, but has adopted only PoS after PoW mining finished at around 525.000 blocks.
Windows, Mac and Linux OS wallets are available. All wallets are currently active and are
being regularly updated. The platform’s technology is open source and available to build
blockchain applications that stimulate fair consummation of music and encourage artists and
listeners alike.
