Halcyon is a decentralized peer to peer altcoin. Released in 2014 to the public it offers a service with purely anonymous transactions. Halcyon implements a unique technology called Peersend, which makes the network more secure and anonymous. Halcyon is a PoS and PoW hybrid. It uses BLAKE2s for block hashing. The proof of work hashing is NeoScrypt and Proof of Stake hashing is SHA-256d. The block target is 2 minutes, and block reward is 5 HAL. Transaction fees are low. The lead developer is HAL9000 but since 2015 there are no updates, and the coin‘s official website is taken down. At the moment no further information is available.
