PayPeer is a cryptocurrency which launched in February 2016. It is used as a decentralized payment network where computing power is required to mine new coins. As of 2018, the coin is inactive and abandoned, but it was developed to work on the X11 algorithm. The initial implementation of the currency included a hybrid-type of technology using both the proof-of-stake and proof-of-work methods.
