ZeitCoin is charity and activism driven. It has a sustainable Proof-of-work algorithm and allows instant transactions. The idea of the team behind the project is to promote sustainability and use of renewable energy source in fight for preserving the planet’s resources as much as possible. Released in 2014 as a branch of PeerCoin, initially, the algorithm used was a combination or proof-of-work and proof-of-stake before converting to a pure PoW coin. The annual PoS interest, in the beginning, was 25% and it was planned for it to drop down to 5% and stay at this rate after year four (2018). A community built coin, this project aims to remove the global barriers in commerce and restore the balance and fair competition. This platform is secure, fast and anonymous, making it a reliable partner when you need transactions executed risk-free. The control of transactions and funds is in the hands of the users as all transfers are permission-less and private, meaning no bank or other institution can interfere or prohibit someone from sending or receiving money.
