StartUP Weekend is a three-day competition in which 14 teams of 4 students work on their business idea, each navigated by a mentor. It is organized every year since 2015 by the club StartUP, founded by students from the American University in Bulgaria. On the event's last day, the teams present their start-up developed plan in front of a jury that decides which are the three best ideas with the possibility to invest in them directly.
At the core of the event is the opportunity for the participants to show what they have learned in lectures and try to implement it into a real-life simulation. The ninth edition of StartUP Weekend will take place between 22-24th of March on the territory of AUBG.
