AirSwap aims to improve the protocols in the cryptocurrency world. The improvements of the contracts will allow tokens to be traded peer to peer without any initial costs. The ICO is using tokens for crowdfunding.  There was a presale stage when nearly 60% of the tokens were locked to avoid overfeeding the market. The token holders have the right to vote on different matters regarding the platform, and the power of the vote is defined by the number of tokens a user owns.
