Thus, it could be said that the Dock.io ICO offers a solution to the present day issue of the so-called online “data hoarding” by serving as a hosted third-party. Dock offers its blockchain-based platform for integrating users‘ profiles from different networks that let them gain ownership and control of their data as opposed to the various centralized platforms. Any data stored on Dock.io is going to be encrypted by IPFS. The protocol is developed to incentivize the exchange of any shareable data, as applications would receive tokens for the data exchange, as the native token DOCK is the cryptocurrency that will be used for rewarding data providers.
