Acurast and Beamable Collaborate to Explore Decentralized Game Validation
Acurast has announced a collaboration with Beamable to pilot decentralized checker nodes that could strengthen trust, transparency, and scalability for live game economies.
The partnership focuses on addressing a key challenge in the gaming industry: the need for reliable infrastructure to handle real-time economies and ensure fair play at scale.
“Rather than relying solely on centralized servers, the collaboration will test running Beamable checker nodes on the Acurast network, with the aim of distributing game state validation closer to end users,” said Alessandro Di Carli, CEO and Co-Founder of Acurast.
Beamable equips developers with tools for analytics, social features, commerce, inventory, generative AI, and Web3 integrations, all designed to streamline live game operations. Its Live Ops platform, used by more than 50 games including the recently launched Pudgy Party, is currently undergoing a major transition to Web3. The shift is intended to deliver more scalable, cost-efficient, and high-performance services to its existing network of studios.
Beamable said that it is exploring ways to reduce network expenses for studios through Acurast’s compute DePIN stack, improve service delivery, and enable partners to reach millions of new players at the network edge.
“Game developers are looking for ways to scale faster and build trust with players,” said Jon Radoff, CEO of Beamable. “Exploring decentralized validation with Acurast is an exciting step toward more robust and cost-efficient infrastructure that supports the next generation of live games,” he continued.
Acurast’s globally distributed network includes over 130,000+ phones across 140+ countries, bringing compute power closer to end users. This proximity can help lower latency and improve responsiveness in live games.
All workloads running on Acurast are executed within Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), which protect confidentiality and prevent malicious tampering. This security is particularly relevant for Beamable checker nodes, which perform critical tasks such as assigning workloads to games, authorizing payments, and safeguarding transactional integrity.
Beamable’s mission is to give developers a fast and efficient way to build, operate, and scale games. Through this collaboration, that mission is being extended into a Web3-ready context capable of reaching a global audience. The companies see potential for a more open and resilient game development and distribution stack, one that spans development, live operations, and instant-play experiences.
“This collaboration allows us to test what’s possible when game state validation happens on a distributed network rather than a single backend,” continued Alessandro. “The combination of Beamable’s game services and our compute infrastructure may offer studios a new model for secure, scalable game operations.”
About Acurast
Acurast is redefining compute by utilizing billions of smartphones – no data centers required. This verifiable, scalable, and confidential compute network enables users to run secure applications on decentralized infrastructure at scale—without compromising speed or privacy.
Acurast has already onboarded 130,000+ phones worldwide on its incentivized testnet, making it the most decentralized verifiable compute network available today. With more than 35,000+ compute deployments powering mission-critical workloads, and over 360 million on-chain transactions processed to date, Acurast is setting a new benchmark for decentralized compute. This scale enables high-security and AI-driven applications to run seamlessly across a global, community-powered network.
