Held on November 19–20, 2025, the Forum focused on the implementation of financial technologies, digital payment ecosystems, the use of artificial intelligence in banking, open banking, regtech solutions, and the evolving models of bank-fintech cooperation.

Hosted by the Azerbaijan Banks Association and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and supported by key government institutions, the event once again demonstrated its status as a premier platform for financial innovation and partnership.

Under the theme “Reliable, Safe, and Sustainable Banking,” IBF 2025 gathered regional and international leaders to discuss the latest trends and innovations shaping the financial sector.

Held on November 19–20, 2025, the Forum focused on the implementation of financial technologies, digital payment ecosystems, the use of artificial intelligence in banking, open banking, regtech solutions, and the evolving models of bank-fintech cooperation. Discussions were conducted across seven thematic panels, with particular emphasis on cybersecurity and data protection in digital environments.

At the opening ceremony, a representative of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, praised the Forum and its role in strengthening regional banking cooperation. Zakir Nuriyev, President of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, highlighted the Forum’s annual appeal, bringing together participants and representatives from banks and companies, with broad participation expected at the next edition. The leaders of the Turkish and Polish Banks Associations also emphasized Baku’s importance as a regional hub.

Building on the success of IBF 2025, the region now looks ahead to two key gatherings next year: the Finance and Technology Summit in June 2026 in Baku, followed by the next edition of the International Banking Forum in November. Together, these events will unite leaders and innovators across finance and technology, deepen regional and international cooperation, and spotlight the trends shaping the future of digital finance and the broader financial sector.
