EmpowHER in AI: Abu Dhabi Edition Champions Women Leaders Shaping the Future of AI Economy
Abu Dhabi witnessed an inspiring convergence of ideas, leadership, and innovation at EmpowHER in AI: Abu Dhabi Edition, in the Global AI Show 2025. A revolutionary event organized by VAP Group and powered by the Times of AI. The event successfully brought together female leaders, founders, advisors, and changemakers to highlight and celebrate the influence of women in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The session opened with a compelling panel discussion titled “Women Leaders Building the Future of AI and Tech.” Chada El Islam Benmahcene, Founder & CEO of ENTROGX Ventures; Anna Macmillan, Founder & COO of WiiN & Mintlayer; and Tasneem Taherali, Advisor for Tech Startups and Scale-ups, Marketing Director for Women in Tech UAE, and Ambassador at Product Marketing Alliance UAE, were among the accomplished panelists.
The panel moderated by Lianna Adams, founder of Impactful Artistry, explored topics such as women's leadership in the AI world and the potential of AI to create inclusive, future-ready ecosystems. The speakers emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration, ethical AI development, and representation in sustainable innovation. Followed by the panel "Empowering Women in the Age of AI: Skills, Safety Nets & Systems Change" led by Fatiha Chikh, co-founder of LeLab Plus. The speaker, Irina Karagyaur, founder of Creators4Impact and author of The Business Case for AI & Blockchain, shared the strategies for women innovators prospering in the AI-driven economy by utilizing enabling frameworks, systemic change, and the appropriate skills.
The event concluded with the open-mic networking segment EmpowHER Connect: Stories that Inspire Action. Attendees were invited to share their personal journeys, projects, and aspirations. The event emerged as a forum for action, inspiration, and collaboration.
The event reaffirmed the vital role women play in creating responsible, inclusive, and significant AI-driven futures by fostering meaningful connection, collaboration, and amplifying diverse voices within the AI and tech ecosystem.
