Hit or Miss: Verge Becomes a Payment Option for Trading Cannabis Seeds

Following the controversial partnership with PornHub, Verge’s team makes a special market entry that many cryptocurrencies would avoid. 

Taking the token's privacy feature to another level, Mihael Radoslovic, Verge’s core team Community Manager, announced the partnership with the Royal Queen Seeds, one of the fastest growing cannabis breeders in Europe on Twitter.

The decision could either be a hit or a miss for Verge coin. The combination of coin adoption in the porn and the cannabis industries could label the coin. Community members start to perceive it as a payment method for paying for things that banks and government should not know about.  

The launch of the XVR-based seeds payment method on CoinPayments, aims to fulfill the token’s aim for mass adoption. The team saw a growth opportunity in people’s desire to have a secure and anonymous payment method for purchasing banned products, as well as the significant client base of Royal Queen Seeds. 

Anonymous and secure transactions are key features for many cryptocurrency users. Verge, alongside with ZCash and Monero, are continuously delivering upgrades of their features. 

An increasing amount of token holders are looking for investing their funds in tokens, which networks do not allow easy tracking of the sender’s address. 

The team's decision is also another tactic in their bid to break the market price slump trend and switch the price direction to the green area. 

Despite the lowering prices, its market cap has been growing, taking the 35th place in the ranking. 

Currently, the Verge price managed to gain a minor lead against the dollar, trading at $0.022434.

The new partnership is giving hope to the Verge community members that the coin will reach the $1 mark.
