NYC and Toronto Compete to Become the Silicon Valley of Blockchain
While one part of the world is breathing soccer, an equally engaging race is taking place for the reinvention of the internet as we know it - “Who would win the World Cup of blockchain?”.
More than a dozen of locations around the world are candidates for the title “the Silicon Valley” of the technological and internet revolution.
Silicon Valley itself is leading the way to the digital transformation with its very own Ripple and Coinbase.
However, on the top of the rankings is New York. The Big Apple faces intense competition in the North where Toronto is the place where Aion Coin, Paycase, and Polymath were “born”.
Turning to the Far East, metropolises like Beijing, Shanghai, and Singapore rely on the force of the Asian economic outbreak.
Comparing the places that favor the blockchain development Canada might have few advantages against China, for example.
Toronto is ranked 5th by the “Blockchain Revolution”, as numerous factors can make the city thrive even more in the crypto revolution. Before AION coin or the Polymath network reach the full potential planned by the respective teams, the whole ecosystem of the North-American city was structured to push every type of innovation and education.
Regarding knowing and improving the idea of the blockchain, a whole network of tech accelerators and incubators is active. Besides the promising start-ups such as AION and Paycase, there are platforms bearing a significant potential like OneEleven, MaRS, and Ryerson University’s DMZ.
The Canadian government supports the shift to the resource-based economy and is said to provide with the best immigration laws.
The funding of ledger platforms for AI and the Internet of Things networks might be regulated better. Projects like AION with the goal to re-create the idea of the Internet could work better and faster.
One of Toronto’s most robust projects, the AION network, is designed to act as the first multi-tier blockchain system and is cited in the list of the so-called third generation cryptocurrency.
Standing on the foundation of the anonymity and privacy with one foot and with the security of the smart contracts with the other, Aion coin is the token for changing the global web and to re-define the Internet.
The network is supposed to serve as a Hub the way Internet does now. The first protocol of AION comes with the implementation of the possibility to conduct transactions between different blockchains, but it wouldn’t be restricted only to that.
The project serves as a good representation of what Toronto promises to be throwing away the unnecessary limitations.
