Managing Director, Accenture Labs Beijing

Dong leads Accenture Labs Beijing’s overall research on cloud computing, IoT, and Big data, helping MNC, SoE and PoE clients around China and APAC go through the digital transformation journey. Each year, through 10s of Accenture Innovation Workshops, Dong conducts digital transformation dialogs with executives from leading firms that generate about 20% of China’s national GDP. He also goes to client innovation conferences, executive training sessions and etc., to give Accenture Tech. Vision talks and promote digital transformation. Dong leads an Open Innovation program on behalf of Accenture China, to develop the collaborations among enterprise clients, startups, and VCs to speed up the application of innovative technologies. From this role, he also serves as judge and mentor at China Internet+ university startup competition, G-Startup acceleration and etc. Dong delivers digital transformation talks at cross industry events like ITValue Summit, Industrial Internet Summit and Big Data Industry Summit and industry events like APAC GAS summit, Chemical Industry Association annual meeting, China Manufacturing International forum and China Hospital Construction Conference. Dong also publish digital economy articles on leading business medias, including Harvard Business Review Chinese edition and CaiJing. Dong is a major contributor to ThunderBolt technology, which is a part of USB standard. The technology helps people around the world enjoy high speed IO everyday Before Accenture, Dong served senior technical and management positions at Intel Labs and IBM Research. He graduated from Peking University with Ph. D degree on Remote Sensing and Cartography. He has published 25 peer reviewed research papers and filed 11 patents.
