Vas Metupalle

Dr Metupalle is a serial healthcare entrepreneur. Dr Metupalle obtained an MBBS from King's College London. Upon returning to Singapore, he worked at Singapore General Hospital, within Diagnostic Radiology department for three years. He started his first startup, Clarity Radiology in 2009 and built it to be the leading teleradiology company in Singapore. Some of the firsts included being the first operator to provide premium second opinion for radiology scans from Dubai to Singapore in 2009 and creating hubs for reporting in Singapore, Malaysia and India. He has set an experienced team to push Clarity regionally and worked closely with the larger medical groups with cross border investments. Clarity under his guidance has setup collaborations with US based telerad and an Australian group to provide the first truly global second opinion radiology services. He gained experience in medical device integration, interoperability and vendor neutral solutions in healthcare IT and been consulted on medtech investments by several private equity and medical groups in the region. He served as Advisor for healthcare investments at Mercatus Capital in Singapore between 2010 and 2012. During this period, Mercatus held investments in an MRI manufacturer, Hospital Information Systems and a Radiology IT platform. With MyDoc, Dr Vas has provided the product roadmap and works closely with early users and client medical groups to keep innovating and integrating the solution with existing enterprise solutions in healthcare IT in the region while keeping product future proof, with interoperability solutions. He has been sought for opinion on Internet of Things for healthcare. He has also got an eMBA from Nanyang Business School.
