Schedule a meeting with me at https://calendly.com/peterjohnson10 Recently I took on a role as Vice President of the Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Regulatory Task Force. I am currently advising TraCoin, the IOKE Project and MedChain. I have started the blockchain advisory service Ayadee, focused on public sector clients, and I am teaching about blockchain as a visiting professor at the University of San Salvador. In the Office of the Secretary of State, working for the Special Presidential Envoy to the Coalition to Defeat ISIS, I had the opportunity to work with a brilliant team that was coordinating a global coalition of 68 partner countries and 4 international organizations. This work included raising over USD 2 billion for humanitarian assistance and stabilization in Iraq and Syria. Although this team brought results to help people in Iraq and Syria, I can make more of an impact for refugees and IDPs by founding a start-up to create tech solutions for the issues they face. Since leaving State, I have continued to build my expertise and contacts in the space of blockchain-based solutions for refugees and IDPs. I am now providing advisory services as well as developing tech solutions in this space. I have also worked with refugees and the tech sector in Egypt, where I was responsible for over 30 simultaneous projects in all regions of the country, many of which were refugee assistance or tech-focused entrepreneurship training programs, and the office I led had partnerships with some of the premier accelerators and incubators in Egypt. Shortly after graduate school, I developed my coding skills building financial models as part of S&P's Global Market Intelligence Unit. Early professional experiences in a variety of sales and marketing roles for both start-up and Fortune 500 clients. MA degree in International Relations and International Economics, with concentrations in International Finance and Emerging Markets, from Johns Hopkins University SAIS.
