Sohrob is founder and CEO of Fanchise and the Fan Controlled Football League (FCFL). In 2017, Fanchise handed the keys of their expansion Indoor Football League team over to fans. Fans made all the decisions for the team, including calling all of the offensive plays in real time via a mobile app. The result? In a ten-team traditional league, the fan-run Screaming Eagles had the third-ranked offense. Fanchise is setting an even more ambitious goal for 2018, creating the first truly interactive fan-run league. The FCFL will kick off its inaugural season with eight teams in 2018, with all of the teams playing in a single venue that will be more production studio than arena. Games will be live streamed, and fans will be in control of the offense, defense, and personnel of every team in the league. By introducing the FAN token, an ERC20 compatible smart token, the FCFL will also be the first major sports league to incorporate blockchain into the league ecosystem. FAN token will represent the voting power of the league, the more FAN tokens a fan owns/earns the more weight their vote will have. And with players and coaches careers in the hands of fans, blockchain provides a truly transparent method to cast and record votes.
