Bitcoin Atom (BCA) is a Bitcoin based cryptocurrency with enabled SegWit, atomic swaps and a hybrid consensus. It is a decentralized digital asset exchange utilizing hash time locked contracts and has HTLC API. The development team is creating an on-chain and off-chain toolkit for atomic swaps. This allows the cryptocurrencies exchange through various blockchains in a way that will be hassle-free. It is expected that Bitcoin Atom’s AS model will bring transparency to the digital asset trading. Likewise, BCA network is secured by applying a hybrid consensus: both PoW and PoS models are in a mutual collaboration, which increases the network stability and reduces the power of miners. The max supply of BCA remains the same as the Bitcoin’s - 21,000,000 BCA. The PoW algorithm used is SHA256.Bitcoin Atom was launched in September 2017. It has some strategic partners, such as OKEX and Yobit.net.
