FantomCoin is based on the CryptoNight algorithm and can only be mined via 64 bit CPUs. The block time is 1 minute while the reward is managed by a unique formula which depends on the supply that is currently mined. The coin is retargeting every block.FantomCoin can merge-mine with several other coins. The new blockchain uses the other coins' blocks as PoW, instead of requiring additional hashpower. Users can choose the chain that they want to “donor.” The PoW algorithm is CryptoNight.Merged mining – the user can mine for multiple blockchains simultaneously. The benefit comes with the fact that all hashes which are done would contribute to the hashrate of every currency involved, thus making all of these currencies even more secure.
