HempCoin (THC) is a PoW and PoS coin launched in March 2014 as one of the 30 cryptocurrencies
which were developed that year. THC is based on the XAVAN algorithm. The goal is to deliver global
liquidity to the agricultural and farming sectors. It succeeded to provide simple payment solutions
for medical cannabis, tobacco, and hemp. Legal cash for hemp transactions is not accepted by the
banks in the USA, due to the reason that it is illegal on a federal level. Hempcoin’s mission is to
develop a cryptocurrency which could be used for online payment systems and peer-to-peer
transaction services. THC offers three payment methods: HempPAY™ Mobile, HempPAY™ Card and
HempPAY™Online. It is also collaborating with e-commerce solutions like WooCommerce, Magento,
and OpenCart. HempCoin was created by Tim Renzetti.
