Opus OPT is a decentralized music sharing platform that leverages the blockchain technology to guarantee fair compensation for the artists, to store vast amounts of musical content, while implementing transparent and reliable payment rules. This digital coin is used for payments and revenue management from both fans and artists. It allows artists to manage their funds in revolutionary ways including the option to split the revenues between band members for each song separately. On the tech side, OPUS has IPFS (Interplanetary File System), which allows OPUS to deliver thousands of tracks per second, by encrypting the music and then storing it on the IPFS swarm. There is a smart contract on the blockchain that collects hashes of the statistics of played songs so that the network can calculate the revenues for every song and artist.OPUS OPT is using the new backward-compatible ERC23 standard, which is a token standard that solves some of the issues with the ERC20.
