Riecoin was forked from Bitcoin to be an open source cryptocurrency, which allows users to make money transfers to/from anywhere in the world with minimum transaction fees. Free transactions are also possible. It is completely decentralized, with direct peer to peer communication and fair launch. The coin is mineable through either a built-in or an external CPU miner. This boots the network’s security and helps process the transactions more effectively. Even though the mining process isn’t rewarding at first, the value and rewards increase rapidly. Riecoin is named after Bernhard Riemann’s hypothesis to estimate and calculate the computing power of the network. The process itself generates series of prime numbers as a by-product, aside from the usual result of powering the network. These prime numbers are of interest to mathematicians and scientific community. Riecoin demonstrates how a massive computing power can be turned into something useful like generationg knowledge to help scientists understand mathematics better.
