Shield is a PoW cryptocurrency that is based on several algorithms, including Scrypt, groestl, x17, blake2s, and lyra2rev2. It was first announced on 03.10.2017. Shield's total supply is 660,000,000 XSH and the block time is only 45 seconds.To facilitate the ongoing development of its protocol, SHIELD will be in a self-supporting cycle of development. The SHIELD currency aims to distinguish itself and make a custom PoS scheme that would operate on a Masternode network. Activation of the masternodes would also offer improved transaction capabilities (PrivateSend and InstantSend.)
