Trigger (TRIG) is a token launched by the decentralized protocol Blocksafe to provide a solution with the issues on smart gun security and manage the access to them. Blocksafe is built on Lisk as a sidechain and uses blockchain technology to apply the nee ded level of security for the firearms sector.

Blocksafe provides an ecosystem where token holders upgrade the achievements to one another in order to encourage the growth of innovation. The network has at least three consensus mechanisms, which support the decentralized apps that leverage the integrated blockchain innovations. Thanks to Trigger, instead of users having to create and apply safely distributed media for every smart gun innovation, they are just required to list them on block safes to make sure that the security requirements of the project are met. Another handy feature of the Blocksafe protocol is modularization, which h elps in achieving exponential growth.

TRIG coin was dormant for most of 2016, except in October when the market cap surpassed $1.5 million, and at the end of 2017 Trigger's price surged, reaching a high of $7,69 and kept on rising at a steady pace through t he start of 2018.
