Yesterday, BlockShow Americas 2018 started in Las Vegas, gathering over 1500 attendees from 50 countries to discuss the present and future state of the blockchain

Over the two-day course of the event, 80 speakers have lined up to share their expertise and insight with the audience. Some of the names are Bobby Lee, the CEO, and Co-founder of BTCC – one of the leading exchanges in China. Nouriel Roubini who predicted the financial crisis of 2018, Johanna Masaka, CEO of Global Situation Room and ex Press Advance for President Obama, Alex Mashinsky –  entrepreneur and founder of Celsius Network, Mike Butcher, editor at TechCrunch, and more.

The Main Stage brings leaders ready to discuss regulatory initiatives and the potential future of the blockchain technology and how it would affect significant industries. The Second Stage holds a forum to brainstorm ideas among the attendees and share conflicting opinions.

One of the leading topics is the construction of democracy built on the blockchain technology. Herb Stephens, Co-founder of Democracy Earth Foundation, insisted that society is moving from corruptible to incorruptible. Others like Bobby Lee, added that the cryptocurrency revolutions gives financial freedom.

Mr.Lee outlined the top mistakes to avoid while making investments to the public:

-    Being indecisive to invest

-    Buying little

-    Selling at first gain

-    Selling after a panic crash

During the first day, more debates on proper regulation emerged, and ICOs challenges were addressed. Naeem Aslam columnist at Forbes holds that the critical factor for ICOs and regulations is the price stability.

More than 200 journalists are covering the conference. Among the event media partners are Crunchbase, NewsBTC, amTV, and media personalities like Rachel Wolfson and Craig Smith – a New York Times journalist.

BlockShow Americas has a significant number of exhibitors to showcase their solutions.  Some of the most valuable ones are Ginco – a global asset hub in a cryptocurrency ecosystem, Traceto.io – a decentralized network, ASQ protocol – a decentralized content economy, Gozo – a blockchain platform oriented towards the travel industry.
